In an interview with the BBC, former Liverpool CEO Peter Moore recalled his worries about the suspension of the league last season.
Moore said: "In the first few weeks of the suspension of the league, I was worried. This is unprecedented. We all want to figure out how long the league will be suspended. At that time, someone proposed to cancel the season as if it never happened."
"The interests of the team may be threatened, but it is difficult for you to fight against them. Our 20 clubs usually meet once a quarter, but in less than 90 days, we held 17 meetings. At first I was very worried about the cancellation of the league, but soon we got back to work and everyone knew we had to finish the season."
